As a Anthropologist, I notice that Eureka vacuum cleaner needs to be change in order to fit for family in Japan. We add few features and new look with robotic system. First, we built the model smaller with circular shape. Common size of the apartment size in Japan is much smaller then America. That tells us that the model should have small size to keep it and use it. Secondly, we attach the brush in order to be more efficient. Even with the slit, it cannot clean little dust which might be stuck in the carpet or on the floor. Lastly, we add a container box in the vacuum cleaner. Our group notice that the filter in Eureka vacuum cleaner, was dirty and make cause of coughing. By using the container box, the user simply need to open the container and throw the dust in the trash and use it again. The robotic vacuum cleaner used to be common in Japan before 2012. However, Japanese still use the robotic vacuum cleaner as a secondary vacuum.

The Vacuum's Anthropologist
Team 7
Our Team comprised of an environmentalist, a designer, a machinist, a physicist, and a cultural anthropologist. We Will are doing researching and dissecting a hand vacuum, modeling one of the functions of it using math and science, developing the life-cycle of the vacuum, understanding the manufacturing involved in that product, and redesigning it for a family in Japan.
